The owners of this vintage mid-rise building wanted to transform their small kitchen into an intimate space for cooking and gathering. Lacking the square footage to create an eat-in kitchen, we designed a central island with barstools, where family and friends can share conversations and casual meals. A large rectangular pendant defines the space and creates a focal point. To unify the elevation and frame the existing window, we extended the windowsill. Streamlined cabinets and hardware provide generous storage while maintaining a clean, modern look.
